Saddleback School

When I lived in SoCal, there was a neighborhood named Saddleback after the low pass in the mountains behind it.  That meant there was Saddleback everything;  Saddleback College, Saddleback Church, etc.  This saddleback school is a little different.  I found it on a back road in Ohio.  It was taken by my little point and shoot Panasonic, so it isn't as clear as the new camera, but I hope you enjoy the subject.

  1. Looks like a stiff breeze would turn that into scrap lumber in no time. But I like it!

  2. The Oly was at home in the bag. I could bring it on a shorter trip when I had less gear, but it is too big for most riding. With the film lens, the adapter makes the camera too long.

I know that you ride with the camera around your neck, but I can't do that with my air bag. The old Pany fits in a side pocket of my tank bag. This shot was taken while sitting on the bike. Just pull off the edge of the road (no shoulder), take off the gloves, grab the camera, zoom and shoot.

  3. Jac, Jac, Jac... Buy the Oly 14-42mm for it, or better yet the Panasonic 20mm f1.7 and use the camera.
